Pato Pekin aimed to incorporate a variety of panels that reflect Chinese tradition, shaping a restaurant with a deeply authentic and traditional atmosphere.
The large scale of the elements required the implementation of modular joinery systems to ensure efficient transportation and precise on-site assembly.
Starting from a reference image provided by the client, we developed the appropriate scale to accurately reproduce the cut-out patterns. We reinterpreted the Moon Gate concept, resolving it into five modular components integrated through joinery systems
We developed the cut-out patterns in CAD, defining specific dimensions for each panel according to the different spatial modules. For the Moon Gate, the model was built in Inventor to ensure precise joinery between components. Pine plywood was used as the base material, with the final painted finish applied by the client.
We CNC-cut the components with ±0.5 mm tolerances to ensure consistency across parts, design, and joinery.
The various panels were delivered within the agreed schedule, with assembly and final finishing carried out by the client.
We help businesses and individuals turn great ideas into reality.
