Development of a 2.20 m long furniture piece with a geometric design, optimizing continuity and precision at the joints between each module
02.Design concept
The client provided reference images and dimensions for the development of a large-format media console.
03.Planning
The arc profiles were developed in CAD, followed by iterative testing to optimize the depth and width of the pocket toolpaths.
04.Execution
We CNC-machined the grooves using a ball-nose cutter, carefully controlling alignment between components, followed by perimeter profiling of each module. The piece was fabricated from 18 mm MDF
05.Outcome
All components were delivered to the client, who completed the assembly of the console and applied an olive green polyurethane coating.
